Bedmax shavings are predominantly from fresh pine timber because it offers a potential extra hygienic benefit for horse at no extra cost to owners. Pine timber is sourced only from renewable managed forestry sources in the UK making every batch is fully traceable and uncontaminated.

• Dust & Spores – Bedmax Shavings are screened and vacuum extracted to eliminate airborne, respirable dust and spores
• Hooves – Shavings are dried to a controlled moisture content to prevent drying out. The combination of larger and smaller shavings also give resilient support under the frog.
• Hygiene – Shavings are made from fresh pine timber which has uniquely powerful antibacterial propreties. They are also dried at sterilizing temperatures.
• Hocks and Joints – Bedmax Shavings form a deeper more resilient bed that helps cushion joints from injury when horses lie down or roll.
• Ammonia – Ammonia can damage hooves, skin and lungs. The larger pine shavings drain urine from the surface and reduce the effects of ammonia on the hooves, skin and lungs.
• Comfort & rest – Bedmax shavings create a deep dry bed that encourages horses to lie down safely and rest properly.
