Since then, we have been introducing the pioneers in equine industry along with their internationally renowned products (feeds, feed supplements, veterinary medicines & other horse requisites) into the UAE & Middle East market.

Al Basti Equiworld recommends and promotes quality products which have garnered the interest and approval from the equine trainers, veterinarians and horse owners in this part of the world.

We source premium quality hay from USA & France and Dust free compressed Wood Shavings from the UK. Equestrian Scene in UAE

1978 - Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club was established

1981 - October In UAE, Horseracing began in the Emirate of Dubai

1982 - Sharaja Equestrian and Racing Club was established

1990 - Jebal Ali race course and Grandstand was established

1991 - Flat racing started in Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club

1992 - Dubai Racing Club was came into being

1992 - March Nad Al Sheba Racecourse was officially opened

1993 - March Nad Al Sheba Racecourse hosted the inaugural Dubai International Jockeys Challenge (DIJC), which eventually became the Dubai World Cup

1996 - First Dubai World Cup was run at Nad Al Sheba Race Course

1998 - Al Basti Hartog established in Dubai

2007 - Al Ain Equestrian Club was established

2008 - Al Basti Hartog was renamed as Al Basti Equiworld

2009 - 14th Dubai World Cup was the last one at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse

2010 - 15th DWC and First one at the iconic Meydan Racecourse was run

2014 - Al Ain Racecourse became the 5th Racecourse in UAE

Ever since the 1st Dubai World Cup, the equestrian scene in the United Arab Emirates has undergone exponential growth in terms of infrastructure, quality and quantity of participants, prize money and spectatorship.

Equestrian events and development are coordinated and undertaken through the 4 main Equestrian Clubs – Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Al Ain Equestrian Club, Dubai Racing Club and Sharjah Equestrian Clubs.

Racing Calendar extending from October to April involves Flat racing at 5 Racecourses namely Meydan, Jebal Ali, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Al Ain. Apart from the extensive local participation Dubai Racing Carnival show cases international horses and owners from all 5 continents.

Endurance racing scene is prime stage of development and support with the 3 self-sufficient courses at Dubai Endurance Village; Emirates Endurance Village, Al Wathba and Budheip Endurance Village, Abu Dhabi.

Show Jumping is fast developing in terms of local participation and international horses. International Show jumping events are in the regular sporting calendar at Al Ain Equestrian Club, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Sharjah Equestrian Club, Emirates Equestrian Centre, Dubai. International Standard Arenas both Indoor and Outdoor arenas make sure the show jumping events are world class level.

Dressage and Eventing is also finding support and participation from the local horse enthusiasts and equestrian clubs, which will garner the attention of the World Equestrian Bodies.

Polo is anther discipline bringing glamour into the UAE equestrian scene. With full-fledged polo facilities at Ghantoot Polo Club, Desert Palm resorts, Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club, Habtoor Polo Club - Polo scene will be pivotal in the movement of horses and development of equine business and industry in the UAE and middle east.

Leisure riding and riding schools are available for the public in every community so that upcoming horse enthusiasts are exposed to best of the best in the equine industry.
